IIS. why have i got it?

    i have a home pc connected to ntl broadband. i have just been nosying at all the programs on it and i found a folder called Inetpub. through looking on here i know it is something to do with IIS. what i dont know is how i got it, why or what i use it for. i looked in add/remove and there is nothing that relates to this. how can i remove it please :eek:

    Inetpub is installed by IIS.
    Here is what the latest version of IIS is and does
    http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsServer2003/iis/default.mspx
    If you do not use IIS, you do not need the Inetpub folder. But I suggest you disable it first and see if you really do need it before you actually delete.
