Unable to use Windows Update

    When I attempt to scan for updates at windowsupdate.microsoft.com I recieve the error message 0x800c0005. I attempted to request technical support from Microsoft, but get a "cannot find server or DNS error" message. I also recieve this message when viewing several other web pages which have loaded properly in the past. I am running windows 98se and explorer 6.
