Some how I messed up my computer and the user accounts. I used to only have one account which was the Admin. Now, after trying to create a second user, I have gotten rid of my orginal user and only have the option to sign in to the new user account. The big problem is that none of my orgianl setting, IE favorites, my documents are there. I can still get to them but i Have to My computer-Shared Documents-Admin- and then i see all of my old documents(desktop folde with all of my old desktop items, my IE favorites, etc... The new account says it is the admin for the computer but I do not see a way to get to my old user or setting. When I go to change users I only have one option which is the new account I just created and a guest account. There is not an option for the old account. What do I need to do?

If I understand you correctly, and I wouldn't bet the rent that I do, you tried to create a new account. But when you did that, you actually created a new Admonistrator, thus deleting the old Admin's account since there can only be one administrator per machine. there can, however, be any number of users with administrative privileges.

You may be able to get the old account copied to the new by going to Control Panel, System, Advanced tab, User Profiles button. Copy the old profile to the new that you created. But if you completelt removed the old account, you'll only be able to copy over the documents and so on---the programs will all need to be reinstalled in the new account.

But see if the old profile exists in the list and is copiable.

It sounds like the pieces from the original user are still there. If that's the case, you can get access to them and transfer them to the new user as shown Here.
