Win2k Administrator Probs

    hey guys I am new here and have a problem. I was given a P3 700 with win2k on it the trouble is it has been set with and administrator password that wont allow me to install any software etc, so I cant even install my cable modem to get on the net any ideas how I can resolve this issue. I have a disk of XPproffesional OS which should work on this m/c but I cant install this either :confused: any help would be appreciated
