I have big problem here and i must say that it is because of my lack of knowledge:(
    WINxp Pro
    I have 3 computers home-
    2 computers Pentium 3
    And 1 Pentium 4
Pentium 4 is connected to the internet through a cable modem (ntl ISP in UK) with 1,5mb/s speed.
I was thinking to setup a wireless network home
So I have bought 2 LAN PCI adapters (Asus WL-138G)
    1 Wireless Router (Asus WL-500G)
Now, my problem is that I have followed the instruction given on the guide when I have installed the router but it is not working
I can not access the internet when the router is connected. All the lights on the router are ok-power /air /wan/lan1/ but I can not connect to the internet.
Internet explorer goes for finding proxy settings and that’s it. Nothing, only a blank page.
I can access the settings and I can perform and modify the settings there (such as automatic ip or security) but I can not access the internet trough my internet explorer.

Not familliar with how things work over across the "Big Pond ". Maybe Reggie will be in here soon.
I'm sure it's some type of authication issue with your ISP since they see the router instead of your PC now.
If you can get to the web based interface for the router through your PC then its just a matter of going through the wizzard to configure your type of connection to your ISP.
Over here we have MAC address issues with some ISPs but I dont think thats the case over there.

Hi - have you updated your NIC driver (especially if you've updated XP Pro with SP2)? If you're using security in the router you might also try WSA instead of WEP.

I have the same problem with one of my computers.
I am using a linksys router & wireless network adapters.
Great connection and ping to my IP is fine x4.

I have no idea what else to do. :(
