I keep getting a New Hardware Found message, PCI Communication Controller message, and the wizard starts up. I haven't added any new hardware, my wireless mouse quit working so I put in new batteries in the mouse and did not help, I unplugged the mouse wireless unit and pluged it back in, could this have caused the new hardware found? Also that day we had a power outage for a few seconds. I tried reinstalling the wireless software but it keeps saying it has been installed and do I want to rewrite the file. I did the file serch in the search but it did not come up. Any help appreciated

First thing I'd try is device manager and any items you find with that ugly, large yellow ?, delete. Then reboot and let the PC reload all you deleted.

If that doesn't work, we'll try some other stuff.

Well I did see those ugly yellow question marks, about 6 of them. I changed the batteries in my wireless keyboard and restarted my computer. I didn't get the PCI hardware message, I went in the device manager and the PCI's with yellow uglies were gone. I don't know if my batteries were low or what but my keyboard was working before I changed batteries. If the PCI messages come back I'll post again. Thanks
