w32/pate.b

    I can't seem to get rid of this w32/pate.b worm. McAfee can't get rid of it and I tried Stinger. Please advise. Happy New Year!! Thank you.

    I've been to the McAfee website. It states downloan dat file, but it doesn't say where the dat file is????

    Phyllis,

    I can find a listing for W32/Pate.a, but not W32/Pate.b. These are probably similiar though. Take a look at this
    from Symantec. Scroll down and try removing the registry entry and then try scanning again. Hopefully, that helps.
