How to Save view preferences in Windows?

According to the above msg this can be done a couple of ways (Regedit or
Kelly's Corner method).

I put in the Kelly's corner method, a patch to the Reg. It shows the BagMRU
as equal to 1f40 (I assume its 8000 decimal).

Kellys also says something about having TweakUI and saving settings on
exit as follows:
Save Settings on Exit (Line 54)

Note: Apply to all folders does not stick:
If you are using TweakUI/Uncheck Only allow Windows Classic Shell

I have looked through the TweakUI (for XP) several times and cannot
find this checkbox.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to this checkbox?
Also will these settings apply for opening a CD or DVD ?

The .reg file was supposedly to keep the View settings once I made a change (and followed up by going into Folder Options|View|Apply to all Folders). Did not do much good. Perhaps twice a week the View is changed to something else, usually no Address bar, which I like to have, but sometimes the Icons/List/Details setting. Just seems a quirk of Windows. Was not much different in Win98.

In TweakUI, I think you are looking for Explorer|Customizations. My setting is now 5000. Can't remember what it was before I changed it. But as noted the View settings still change from time to time anyway.

I have SP2 installed already and its working good.

After a couple of reboots, it seems that all windows are holding as desired.
Well, except for the opening window for DVD and CD drives anyway.

I can live with the DVD\CD windows.

Arie--Thanks for telling me where I got the 5000 BagMRU Size from.
Sadly, as mentioned, it does not seem to do much good for my PC.
