dial up phone hold function

    A friend of mine uses dial up and is inteested in being able to answer the phone without disconnecting. I know various of the ISPs offer this function but is there a freeware or shareware application available that does the same thing. As their ISP does not offer that function I would like to let them know if there is another option.

    Rob,
    I can't give you any software recomendations, as I don't use this functionality, but first make sure you have a v92 56K modem. A v90 modem doesn't support this function. Your ISP has to support it as well, and they should be able to give you the required user info.
