    Hello,

My friend's newly acquired (and used) laptop has a screen problem. The desktop image does not fill all available screen space, but is shrunken so as to occupy less than half of the total available screen space. The unoccupied space is simply black. The shrunken size is hard on the eyes. How can he enlarge the desktop image so that it occupies the entire screen space?

    Thanks.

Lower the refresh rate to the default. Mine is 60 hertz in Display-moniter settings. Maybe there is an Fn setting to do this in theirs. Maybe the wrong drivers for video. The manufacturer should provide the information.
