    Problem with Folder /File sharing...

Hello all....and all the best for the season.

I have a few systems networked at home using the same workgroup. Each PC has it's own name & description; and this was all working well a few at least 4wks ago.

All shares can be seen by the respective PC's; however when trying access the respective folder; I get a "not authorized" to access message. All PC's have full admin rights; and certain ones can acces the others folders and running Win XP Pro.

I'm not sure what to try next. I'm sure it's something minor.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks...

    - enable the guest account on each PC (at install time, it is enabled by default on XP-home and disabled by default on XP-pro)

    - log on to each PC with a username and non-blank password

make sure that Service Pack 2 were not "secretly" installed into some of these machines. SP2 enables the built-in Windows firewall by default. Got a few service calls in the last few months because of this.
