    Hello,

I think this started after I did a clean install of XP Pro. (I never saw it before then) In Yahoo, I get this message quite often:

We've detected that the My Yahoo! page cached on your machine is out of date. Click here to continue to My Yahoo! with a fresh page.

The only thing I have tried is in:

    IE Tools
    Internet Options
    Temporary Internet Files
    Settings
"Check for newer versions of stored pages" NEVER

I also tried the options, "automatically" and "every time you start IE ".

    Any suggestions? Thanks everyone.

    Hello,

I couldn't read much of that, but I did also drop the space allowed WAY down. It's at 80 now, should I go lower?

Thanks again, everyone, for all the help over the years. Have a happy, crash & virus free new year.

    Wes

    80 should be fine.

And the picture was mainly to show that I have checked the top circle for a refresh on every visit to a page.

Have you tried clearing the cache? IE>Tools>Internet Options>Delete Files button.

It may be some file in the cache is corrupted and all it needs is a good cleaning. ;)

My Yahoo cached page out of date

All of a sudden, today, I began receiving a similar message whenever I try to login to My Yahoo:
"We've detected that the My Yahoo! page cached on your machine is out of date. Click here to continue to My Yahoo! with a fresh page.
Click here to sign in as a different user. "

    I've noticed that:
-This happens on Firefox or IE
-Clearing the cookies/cache has no effect
-Using a different machine has no effect
-Using a different account on my machine works correctly

In other words, it appears as if the problem is related to the _account_ and not the PC. If anyone has any ideas as to what triggers an account to get into this mode, and more importantly, how to get out of it, I'd love to hear.

    Thx.
