How do I get back to my origianl Administrative Account?

When I installed Windows XP on my PC, I didn't create any user account (I think automatically I had one with the name of Administrator?). So each time I turned on my PC, I had no trouble accessing any files on my PC. A couple of days ago, however, I created 3 new accounts, for all the 3 members of my family including myself. My wife and I had admin privilege and my son has a limited acount. But then I found that I couldn't access my files from any of these new accounts. I deleted 2 new accounts and had only one left now. But I still can't access my files from Documents and Setting. I tried to restore files using system tools, but the computer failed in restoring. I want to go back to what I had when I didn't have any user account. But how can I log on to my original user acount, if I had one, under the name of "Administor" (I don't even see the logo for that original account on the first screen I see when I turn on my PC)? What can I do now? Could anyone help? Thanks! Happy holiday to everybody!

Follow the insstructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, How to take ownership of a file or folder in Windows XP to regain access to your files.

If you're running XP Home, the main Administrator account is only accessible when booting into Safe Mode.

In XP Pro, press Ctrl/Alt/Del twice at the logon screen to bring up the main Administrator account logon.
