Since I installed XP, I am having intermittent problems attaching files in an email on outlook from another comupter on the network (not an exchange server - just sharing files through a linksys router). Sometimes when I attach, it works, other times I GET "YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION" error - but don't know how/where to change that.

    Thanks for any help.

Probably a network connection permissions issue with the other PC. Easy enough to fix but more information if you would.

    - which operating system on each PC (and if XP, home or pro version)
    - how much local security do you need for protection against intrusion from other users on your network and how much protection will he/she/they want from you?
