    Hey,
I don't know where this came from or how it happened but when I try and change my wallpaper (background images) I hit "browse" and it goes to my pictures folder .. I select the new image and nothing happens?

    Anybody?

    Thanks

My first thought is perhaps you have a web item locked on the desktop. Try this. Right click on the desktop, choose properties>desktop, then click on the customize desktop button and then on the web tab. Check to see if the line that says lock web items on desktop is checked. If it is, uncheck it. If there's any web items that are checked (in the box where it says web items) it might not hurt to uncheck them too. I don't think it's necessary but can't hurt.

Also, I noticed that you started a thread about an app named Rainlender. Could it be causing it somehow? I downloaded it and the other app he has to check this possibility out. I edited everything in the ini files that I thought might possibly cause this but couldn't reproduce the problem on mine so probably not but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

If this just started, how about system restore?

    Thanks Zander,

I went into the group policy editor and enabled active desktop wallpaper or something like that and now it works fine?

    Cheers
