Since I re-installed Windows2000 on my computer, any time I delete an object, it does not go to my recycle bin. When I seach for it, no results come up as to where it went, but my memory on my computer remains the same meaning it went somewhere....any ideas where they all might be going?

By "memory" do you mean the amount of drive space shown as occupied or free?

Yeah. So they must still be on the computer someplace, but I have no idea where.

PsycoticEclipse --How are you deleting? With any file except for an .exe file, if you highlight and simultaneously click Shift+Delete, the file will delete without going into the Recycle Bin.
And, in WinXP, if you right click on the Recycle Bin|Properties|Global tab, there is a box to check to bypass the Recycle Bin. Perhaps the same in 2000.
As you probably know a deleted file is still on the hard drive. Windows just thinks the space is now available for new data to be written to. That may explain why no change in memory.

No, that setting is not activated, even though it is an option. And this bring up another question - is there any way to clear the hard drive of all the **** that's on it?

Yep, It's the same in W2K. Make sure the "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin..." box isn't ticked and the "Display delete confirmation dialog..." IS ticked. The defaults are "Use one setting for all drives ", and the maximum size of the recycle bin is 10% of your drive size.
