Let us know what it's like. Not familiar with the brand, but that's not necessarily a minus. I'd prefer an LCD without built-in speakers. They don't sound all that great and make the monitor surround bigger.

    Hey,
I don't want speakers on the monitor. I have a 100 watt per channel amp hooked up to my soundcard and two HUGE 3 way base reflex speakers.
Looks like the monitor was shipped today so I should have it in two day's :)
I also like the fact that the monitor has a glass shield on it since I heard that a cat can scratch them and destroy the monitor. Also this one has both analog and digital input connections so I can use it now and also when I get my new system. The specs on it are quite good also.

    Cheers

    Hey,

Anybody know how to check out a LCD monitor for defects?

The only thing I can think of is to check it for dead pixels.

What is the best and quickest way to check it for Dead Pixel?

    Thanks Allot

    Wow,
This AG Neovo LCD is awesome .. It's so bright I had to tone it down from the auto settings. I also cannot find ANY dead pixels. I keep checking it with different websites and utilitys and so far NO DEAD Pixels !!

If I put the monitor in it's native resolution (1280 x 1024) and adjust the frequency to it's max (72hz) it seems to respond pretty good but the text is to small.

So what I do is select 150% from Avant's menu to enlarge the graphics and text and when I scroll up or down on a webpage it lags and jumps?

Is this just something I'll have to live with or is there a way to make it snappier and more responsive?

One thing I'm not happy about is that it states there is a "glass shield" for protection over the screen in the ad's that I saw but if I press my finger on a corner of the screen it looks like it sinks into the screen? I don't know how this could be if it did have a glass shield so I'm guessing there is none.

Here is a nice freeware utility for checking for dead pixels.

    Happy New Year !!

How do you like it, by now?

Since you have had this for a few days now, to play around with it,,how do you like it? I was really looking for a 17" monitor, because of ($$$), but what I've read of the 17" monitor in this brand,,,some people dont like it. Do you, or anybody else out there, have any information on these 2 monitors I have been looking at? One is a NESO PIXO A700 17" lcd($226.99 from newegg), and the Princeton SENERGY 714 17" lcd(somewhere aroung the $220 mark). I will use this on my home office computer, browsing the net, but not really any games(unless my sons sneak into my office;-)). Any suggestions?
    thanks,

    Coadman,
I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these monitors .. and so far I am very pleased with my choice. I looked around and I came to the conclusion that this monitor would be the best choice for a inexpensive 19" monitor. Also they sent me both input cables. DVI and Analog which is sweet .. If you can somehow swing it .. go for the 19" LCD .. You won't regret it. I really like the bigger screen and enjoy the graphic's and the desktop space. Now when I open my resume in Word, it shows both pages (2) at the same time. Also the pictures that I have look so much better.
If I had it to do all over again I would buy this same monitor. The speed is listed as 10ms and 15ms but I think it is really a total of 25ms . So the next best thing for me would be a faster responce time. I don't play games so that really isn't all that important to me.
