    Hello,
I have many anti-adware and anti-spyware tools on my computer. (Spybot, Norton Antivirus + Internet Security 2004) and none are able to detect the **** I've got. My browser (Microsoft IE latest version) just starts and cannot get to a page at all. Also, it tries (but fails) to open up a **** page or something. Can someone please try to help me fix this problem. I will be eeternally grateful. My Hijack this log follows...

    -Thanks, Andy

Andy - welcome to the forum.

There are some things in the log file you posted that do need to be removed but the log was missing some pieces that we need to see so if you'd post a complete one, we can give you some specifics on how to proceed from here.

    Hello

Is this something you installed ?
    O23 - Service: Remote Packet Capture Protocol v.0 (experimental) - Unknown - %ProgramFiles%\WinPcap\rpcapd.exe

If so take it off the list below

Start Hijackthis and place a check next to these items,
Close all browser windows and shut down all other programs that show in the taskbar. (even Folders) Then Hit fix checked and close Hijackthis.

Andy - the 2nd log you posted was perfect. Had all the stuff in it.

Now even though things are better, please do post another HJT log so we can make a double-check. If some of the baddies have come back it will indicate a few other problems you need to deal with. Hopefully it will be clean but better to be safe.
