    Hello,

Is it possible to print my Internet Settings?
I need to compare my work settings with my home settings. I'm having a problem at home. Example 1 is when I try to log into my DATEK account. I never get the box where I am prompted for my ID & PW. Example 2 is similar, on dead.net, in the online store, when I click "Checkout Now ", I'm never taken to the screen where I enter my account information. Both work fine from the office. Both were working fine from home. I have comcast@home for my ISP, I know they just had issues breaking away from Excite@home... could it be related? I haven't called them yet.

    Thanks

    Hiya and welcome

I don't know about the actual printing, but you could try this. Open up your Internet Options, say Advanced. Then, press Print Screen key that is above the Insert on your keyboard. Go to Paint and Paste the copied page. Save and then copy to floppy and open up on your other PC in Paint.

    :) Hi,

Either the above or using a simple screen capture program (I use PrintKey) to capture the portion of the screen you are interested and saving as .JPG pics or printing... That's what I do when i need to do the same.

    Cheers,

    Artur

Has anyone seen the problem I am having? According to my ISP all my settings are correct.

You have all sorts of info in System Information (Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information).
On the left side is System Summary and under Components you have Network.

    Hiya

Are these both secure sites, and if so, can you not acess any bit of it?

    Lets try a repair:

Control Panel | AddRemove. Doubleclick Microsoft Internet Explorer. Choose Repair, apply and restart.

    Are you getting any errors?

    Lets also try this:

First I'd check for the existence of a Hosts file. Click on Start>Find>Files, key in Hosts and press enter. You're looking for a file called just Hosts with no file extension. You'll find a file called Hosts.sam but that's not the problem. If you do find a file called just Hosts, rename it Hosts.old and then try the pages. Be sure to close all instances of IE before you retry the pages.

    Regards

Thanks for that last reply. I'll try it when I get home. BTW, it happens on all secure sites I've tried. CDNOW, Amazon, Circuit City, dead.net, anywhere you would normally be propted for a username and password. All was working fine, no new installs on my part...

Well, this problem has cleared on its own. Or, maybe my ISP actually found something after all my calls... Thanks everyone.
