I upgraded from Win98 to Win2K and chose clean install. I was able install Win2K but when I reboot I can still choose Win98.

I want to format my HD (wipe it clean) and do a Win2K clean install but don't know how.

I was given the advice to delete partitions during the install but when I scroll over the partitions of my C drive and press D to delete (per software instructions) nothing happens. I can only select partitions and press C to make more partitions.

So Windows 2K is running ok but the colors on some software look washed out. The bigger problem is that I backed up my thinking it would have been wiped out during the clean install but it isn't so now I have no HD space.

Can anyone tell me how to simply format or clean all old info from my hardrive so I can do a clean install from disk of Win2K?

    Thank you.

Boot from your 2K install CD and you will get to a place where you can wipe out all existing partitions and create a new one for the OS. When you delete them from there, they are gone.
