Software installation "logger" ??

    Hello All -

    Does anyone know of any small and simple piece of software that will keep track of programs that are installed on a computer AS they are insalled?

    I am looking for something that will keep a running record of programs that I install and then, possibly, have the ability to generate a printable 'report' with program name, date installed, version number, size, et cetera.

    If I were a software engineer (which I'm not) I would have written a progam like this years ago just for giggles and grins. :) TIA

    Snapfiles is a great site to look through. I go there when I run out of things to do and then look for things to try out.

    They have several programs that will "scan on demand" and view or print out a nice list.

    Don't think you'd want something to running in the background 24/7 waiting to see if you installed something.
