I attach my camera via USB cable. I can use various imaging software to download images off the camera via the camera and USB cable.

One thing that is new is instead of the camera wizard starting, a little green icon shows up on my toolbar called "Safely Remove Hardware" If I turn camera off or disconnect the cable the icon goes away.

I'd really like to use the Camera Wizard

    Any help would be appreciated...

    Tom,

I have not tried using this tool before, but it was created to fix problems like this. Can you give it a try and let us know how it works? If this doesn't fix it, I have some other ideas that should fix you up.

    Microsoft Autoplay Repair Wizard

I'm all fixed now..here's what I found out...

...I found on another site if you recently downloaded the RealPlayer upgrade to version 10...that it messes up your "autoplay" features on XP...they suggested to uninstall RealPlayer, reboot and attach camera...and guess what! It works, and I'm back in business again!
