    Hi:

Heavens knows what we did now !
Or what to do to fix it.

    Here is what started today.

We are using IE - and default player for most files is Windows Media Player
(latest version available) - and Windows XP Pro.

All sound files played from stored files on hard drive work great.
However when we log on to a page (any page with sound) the music files
play but in a mulled, static "in a bucket" hollow sound - Awfull !

Note: The closest help we seem to find online is "Network error - Windows Media Player cannot play ...... "
However it can play, just does a lousy job !

This bad sound is for all pages with sound while online.

No problem with sound anywhere else. Even e-mail with sound works great.
Both online and offline. And the "Home Page" of my server plays sound with no problem.

So, what is going on with other just normal web sites - Example: Site offering e-mail web cards - the sound is there, but bad.

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks

Internet sound bad - answer !

After much more reviewing all help files etc. we finally hit on a solution.
Seems our sound card driver was "dated" back to work OK with Windows Media Player Version 7.
We're now up to Version 10.
So, reinstalling the drivers associated with our sound card did the trick.
Seems the install related to the new versions of the players - I think !
Any how, updating sound card installation solved our problem.
