    Hi!
    When I am composing a message I want to insert graphics like :) into it but do not want the graphic embedded into the e-mail but linked to it's original URL. Howver even if I type URL into the "Image location" the graphic is being embedded into the e-mail body. It was possible it earlier Netscape composers. What is the problem?
    I am using Netscape 7.1

    Just type the graphic in a URL, as a link.

    OK, but what I want is a nice graphic header on the top of the page, not a link to it. And this header should not be embedded in the e-mail.

    I never used all features of the old Netscape. The problem? Is to expect that a complete rewrite of the old software will do the same in the new software.
    I have no idea what you were doing in NS4.x.

    Welcome to the Forum, egov!

    You want the recipient to see the graphic, yes?
    Open Mail & Newsgroups
    Click on: Insert | HTML

    Use the HTML code for the image:
    Code:
    <img src= "http://server/username/imagename.gif ">
    If you use ATT then an example would be:
    Code:
    <img src= "http://home.att.net/~egov/smiley.gif ">
    This is assuming that you have uploaded the smiley.gif file to your web page.

    The image will be called from the ATT web page directory.

    I tried it. It still embeds the graphics. So stupid!
