    Hi blackfang

    Try this.
In Internet Explorer click Tools/Internet Options.
    Click the Connections tab.
Put a dot beside "Never dial a connection "
    Click Apply.

I've been trying to find an answer but I'm not familiar enough
    with bt yahoo.
If you set the Dial-up box back the way it was, will it connect?

You may also need to check your drive for Spyware and AdWare.

When You set the connection to "never dial ", then You have to connect manually when You want to go on-line. Putting a shortcut to the connection on the desktop makes it more convenient.
