I hope you take a look at this one Newt. Think you've been around long enough to give me some guidance on this not that others cant but you've been very helpful in the past.

Have a client that is in the process of buying a small building and is thinking about not only selling coffee, capacino, etc. but also having 4 - 6 internet machines for customers access.

I'm not worried about the connections cuz it should be nothing more than having a dsl line come in attached to a router and running cat5 to the stations. What I am wondering about is how to protect these machines from the customers doing things they shouldnt - like porno surfing, downloading, and messing with the drive itself. What software, registry protection, h.d. protection should I be concerned with and anything else anyone can think of for me to consider.

    Thanks.

I was too busy watching the Packers get stomped yesterday and then trying to recover from the shock and grief.

I would make the same suggestion from the thread Rockster2U pointed you to. Ideal for someone operating an internet who does not know much about protecting PCs or who simply doesn't want to have to mess with them very much.

FWIW, my wife and I both own cheesehead game hats.

My only consolation is that the entire team picked the same game to fall apart. No one played well. Additional comfort from the fact that no one was hurt during that game so maybe better next week.

Philly is good this year but not THAT good.

the only good thing i guess is that the vikings also lost. 3 teams i root for are the vikes, packers and broncos and all 3 lost this weekend. afc looks a lot tougher this year by a big margin.

Consider yourselves fortunate - try being a Saint's fan.

oh my yall are very lucky in the football department...try being a Lions fan...

the last time we won a championship was in 1957, but hey we won 3 championships in the 50's and had waited since 1935 for those...

now the real scarey thing would be...when the Lions do win a championship and yes, statistics and probability almost can guarantee that we will...i did get good use from STATS in college... :D that based on past michigan pro teams that win the big game, there are some pretty nasty celebrations... hey you remember the movie, "The Crow," the opening scene is Detroit and takes place there, hey we love a good fire on detroit on all hallows eve...but back to my point...when the Lions win, they might just burn Detroit to the ground...

so...i am torn, between a victory in a championship game and burning Detroit down to never a victory...but wait i am in TX and so let us get the victory....

    neomatsu :D
