Try clicking on start => run, keying in
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    and clicking OK.

Note that you will probably be asked for your XP CD.

Have you run AdAware and Spybot? Perhaps after you run those we need to take a look at a hijackthis log.
Are you getting a user.dmp? You could run that through the dump tool and we can take a look

Read through this post in the Spyware & Virus Removal forum, and open a new thread there if you need assistance.

    Iexplore.exe error

I also get the same error most of the time when I exit out of IE. I am running on Win XP. I also run spybot and adaware regularly. I have also ran my AV program and it doesn't find anything.

Bernie, I cannot help but notice a few things.
In your problem report you do not mention any previous actions taken to try to resolve the problem. How do you expect "moderators" (aka people who are helping you for free) to know what you have already done, if you can't be bothered to write down what you have already done. I actually a little annoyed you'd waste the time of the good people on this board in writing suggestions you have already tried because you were too lazy to mention it the first time around, and then complain about it.

Did you read the step-by-step guide i referred you to on which debugger to download, there is a link right in it that goes right to the download, not to mention a large button on the tool itself to download them.

Already ran Adaware, but don't know what to do with the info I got Arie gave you some very specific advice on how to operate this utility, did you follow it?

We are trying to help you, but until you send me a check, you will need to put some skin in the game and followup on the suggestions being made.

    IEXPLORE Application Error

I follwed Arnie's instructions to the letter
    They made no difference
    I still have the problem
I'm sorry for sounding irritated but I've
had this problem a long time and I am very frustrated
I apologize for sounding the way I did
I ran both spyware and ADaware, and still had the
    same problem
If you could please tell me where to find
the instructions on how to post the log
    I will run HIJACKTHIS next
I also need instructions on how to load
    and run the DEBUGGER
    I AM PC STUPID

In the thread Arie pointed you to, Post #4 from lonny will walk you through HijackThis, where to get the file, and how to post the data.

The information on how to use the debugger is in my signature, the dump data tool link. You will need to match up a DMP file with a crash and run it against that. if you cant figure out which dump to run the tool against, ask for help

If there are specific points of these instructions that are confusing, just ask.

    IEXPLORE Application Error

    1) I downloaded the debugger
(I really guessed as to which one to use, the website was not
    clear for Windows XP)
    2) I could not get a short cut to create, I assume I use
the "exe" command on the website abd "run "
    3) After that, now I'm really guessing, restart the computer
do step 2 go to the failing website let it fail
    4) Can anyone help as to what to do next

Do you have any friends or neighborhood teenagers who are good with computers who could help you with this? We haven't gotten to the complecated stuff yet.

    http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?&c1=509&gprid=3221&
You get two free calls to microsoft with purchase of XP. This may be a good oppertunity to take advantage of this, they can walk you through it on the phone.

You never posted any logs in the Spyware & Virus Removal forum. I suggest you start by doing that!

Yup. Without the hijackthis log we would just continue to send you around in circles and you might continue to post links to search sites for us to look at.

If you'd like help, try posting to the security section with the requested information.

That number is pretty meaningless out of context. Go ahead and start a new thread with a problem description, and what you think you did to cause it and we'll help you out.
