I liked the typed URLs to remain shown in a list on the IE address bar. I would right click the blue arrow and find the URL i wanted, shade it, and go.
Yes they are there if i type: www.a.... or whatever, as they are in memory and then i shade that and go. Yet why suddenly are they not staying visible in a list?? :(

crystalwoman--When you click on the blue down arrow do you see any previously typed addresses? If not, IE Tools|Internet Options|Content tab|Auto Complete. Is the box "Web Addresses" checked? If not check it|OK|Apply.
P.S. If you do have some addresses in the drop down, perhaps you have not used a particular address in some time and it has been replaced on the list.

Yup i have Web Addresses checked in Auto Complete.

Possibly a new upgrade of WinXP or Dell did it?? Who knows why ALL the
'typed' URLs cleared out. They are there, like i said earlier, showing up from memory if i begin to type a URL after www.-----

No biggee. Thanks, Happy Day, J

If you put new typed URL's in there are they retained?

If you clear your IE history, all will blank out.

Also, sometimes you have to clear a check box and apply, close, and reopen the program and recheck the checkbox. Windows "forgets" to honor the check boxes in some instances. If windows didn't have these little quirks, it would become so boring I would have to find some other way to waste my time. :p
