hi hope some one can help..

at work i was planning to upgrade our network to wireless within a month. but due to the old adsl router's power suply packing up forced me to start early.

im using a linksys wag54g router/modem and have 7 pcs with the old wired network cards and new wireless cards installed. the operating systems are win 98 se on 3 pc's and 1 laptop. win xp home on 2 new dell pcs win xp pro on 2 more pcs.

all pc's can see the broadband internet wether there connected vie wire or wireless g. my problem is the wireless pc's can not see other pc's if there wire'd there fine but not if wireless.

all the pc's have static ip adresses
    the linksys is 192.168.254.1
    subnet 255.255.255.0

and so all the other pc's are on a range from 192.168.254.2 - 192.168.254.254

on my network i also have 2 large networked nashuatec printers and a netgear printserver with 2 hp 5si's wich all have static ips

any ideas on whats going wrong.??????

regards a desperate small IT Manager lol

    regards

    kevin

Can the wireless see any wired PCs on the LAN? Can they see the printers (which I assume are still wired)?

I had a problem like this with my wireless network, I got round it by adding a wireless access point.

    Good luck
