    At the end of November, Microsoft announced it will produce an Update Rollup for Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4), which would be released by mid-2005.

    Personally I think this is a bad idea, and I'll make sure Microsoft is aware of that opinion when I'm on the phone with there developers this week. Maybe I'll get some better insight into why they made that decision.

    Sounds to me like MS wants Win2k to just go away and have everyone on Xp and Server 2003. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    indeed. I don't think many people realize 2000 is basically a legacy product at this point. Hotfix and warranty support ends july 1st 2005.
