    Hi
I ran easycleaner to remove unnecessary files when I went to remove them it cleaned all but one, Said it could not remove this file.

    "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\local Settings\Temp\~DF7184.tmp Size is 16384

I ran a search in files and folders (and hidden files) but nothing comes up.
I went into C: Documents and settings/Owner But there is no Local Settings in that folder

Can anyone tell me how I might locate this file so I can check to see what it is and How I can get rid of it if I need to.
    Thanks
    Geri

Don't worry about it. Occasionally a temporary file is being used by windows so is locked. Eventually, after a reboot or maybe a few days it will be released and you can delete it. These are only small files and have absolutely no bearing of the systems performance. I guess you're a bit like me and just want to keep the system squeeky clean. ;)
Well you can't, but you can get close. :D

If you log in as another user, or maybe login in safe mode you could probably delete it. But it's not worth worrying about 'cause it'll happen again.

    Thanks Paul
You're right, I don't like having junk on my system that I don't believe I'll ever use.
    Thanks again

On of the nice things about Easy Cleaner is that it will usually err on the side of under cleaning, rather than over cleaning. A few extra files hanging around won't hurt. Some get so obsessed at removing unnecessary files, they start deleting a necessary file.

I usually have a few. But I have a bunch of things running. It may be a temp for those.

Rest easy tonight, that df file is created by SpywareGuard. :) Disable SG and you'll be able to delete it.

When conventional means of deleting fail, there is always MoveOnBoot.
