I have just reformated my HDD and reinstalled XP Proffessional/SP2.

My System and programs are on C drive.
My "Data" is on E drive.

Objective: I would like to take "My Documents" from C drive and relocate it to E drive so that, when I click on Start--> MY Documents, "My Docs" folder from E:\ shows up and not empty "My Docs" folder from C:\. Thanks

No need for TweakUi, much simpler to create a "My documents" folder on E:. To move to the new folder, right-click the "My documents" icon on the desktop > properties > move > browse to the new folder > say YES to move all contents.

Edited: To find out how to move other userfolders, click the link in my sig, go to page 4 and look for "Effects of Image Restoration ". There are details on how to move Favorites, Address book and E-mail storage.

Personally, I'd call the folder that is on E something like "E My Documents." It helps a lot to make sure that everything is going to the right folder.

While you're at it, you might as well move your address book, OE, and Favorites if you use those.

Thanks Christer. It was a breeze. :)

Thanks to all of you, Bmoore and RayH.

RayH I did accept your suggestion about calling the folder E-My Docs. Thanks again to all. :)
