Can I burn a 'backup' copy of SP2?

    I have a dial-up connection, and so do most of my friends...can I burn SP2 onto a CD and intall on it their computers, so they don't have to spend the 2+ days downloading it?

    Sure.

    Is it on your system or are you planning on downloading it? If you are, it's a 166 MB download. You may find that ordering the CD from MS http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/sp2/cdorder/en_us/default.mspx or going to a office supply store like Staples amd getting free copies works better. Or find someone with a high speed connection and download it.
