Hello All, I am new to the forum and found it after looking up a computer problem I have been having on google..

I will be on the computer and all of a sudden it will automatically restart itself.
Screen goes black and then boots up as normal.

After it boots I always get the:
Your system has just recovered from a serious error message..

I took the liberty of reading and typing down the error signature but what they could mean is beyond me.

    So here it is:

    Error Signature
    BCCode: 10000050
    BCP1: F000EF5D
    BCP2: 00000001
    BCP3: BF87A1FA
    BCP4: 0000000
    OSVer: 5_1_2600
    SP: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

Any tips/suggestions on what this may be caused from would be greatly appreciated.

If using an account with admin privilages..
Take a look in your event viewer and see what the details are on this error. To do so from the starbutton>runline type or copyNpaste the bolded command eventvwr.msc and hit enter.

While this may be caused by other problems, I at one point in time, had this problem. Mine turned out to be a fussy pagefile.sys. This may work for you. I used method number two. (Actually this occured on a fat32 system and I just deleted the pagefile.sys at the c: prompt) but microsofts article will get you there...

    Opps,
On a reread I see that you are having continual random restarts due to a fatal error of some type. The link I previously gave you was to correct a problem whereby you weren't having any[more] fatal errors but were continual notified and prompted to send a bug report, on a restart.

The information you gave is not detailed enough to tell you what the problem is. It is the information that is included the "additional information" or "techinal" or what ever the name of the link is when you get prompted with this alert pane, that we need. Or perhaps the information returned by Microsoft if you send the error. I am hoping event viewer captured some additional information about the fatal error.

While your here, let's make sure you don't have your machine set to restart on an error.

*Right Click on your desktop "My Computer" icon and select "properties "
*Click on the "advanced tab "
*Select the "startup and recovery button "
*In the category "System Failure" click on the "settings button
    *Uncheck "Automatically Reboot "
*Okay and Apply your way out of the panel.

Now once again, see my previous thread where I gave you the bolded command line for event viewer and check for system failure alerts. CopyNpaste info here.

    ------------
You made this sound as if it is only a problem while using google. Is this a true? Does this only happen while using google? Is this google from the site or google from your toolbar?
