Just installed Earthlink dial-up on another computer. Does connect to the internet and does do e-mail in Outlook Express. But will not open Internet Explorer to any page, Earthlink or Yahoo or even a blank page.
Would like any suggestions as to what I can change to get connected to Internet Explorer.

    Thank you

tom34228--You have not told us what versions of Windows or IE you are using. Please do so.
But in the meantime you might want to try this

    This puzzles me a little
Have you looked in IE Tools|Internet Options|Programs tab? See if the box "Internet Explorer should check if it is the default browser" is checked. If not, check it, click Apply|OK and reboot. The next time you use IE you should get a message asking if you want IE to be your default browser. Click Yes.

Thank you Welshjim. Sorry I left out the important system info. Guess it was puzzling the "did connect to the internet ", but I hoped to convey that it could get to the e-mail thru the connection-just would not let me open any page.

Something?? cured it. Altho I had shutdown and rebooted several times, one more time found the start page opening and the browser available as it should be. I did nothing that I know of to solve the problem. In a way, I would rather know the cause and the fix, in the event it happens again.

Really do appreciate your time and effort-thank you

tom34228--Thanks for posting back. Just posting here (and a couple of reboots) often does wonders. :)
