I am new here but I have an anoying problem that I think belongs in IE. But I did a search and found nothing. MY Favorite list has a few of my favorites, but each time I boot up there are about 10 folders of nice to know stuff that gets added to my favorite list. When I delete them they are gone until next time I boot and they are back? Is this a easy fix somthing I could do to stop this ?

    Hi Hapbob

Internet Explorer comes with quite a few pre-loaded favorites, but if you are deleting the ones you don't want and they keep returning on reboot it sounds as if you may perhaps have been hijacked...
IE (as I know it) comes with 3 folders called "Links ", "Channels" and "Media" - out of which Channels and Media will stay deleted, but "Links" will be recreated on reboot (although it will now be empty)

suspect a hijack particularly if folders to do with things like **** or gambling are involved - a friend of mine got a load of nude nurses recently

have you been to WindowsUpdate and patched your browser, pls?

also if you could let us know what OS and what version of IE, it helps get the picture...

you could try Adaware and HijackThis to see if they can find anything (Recommended Links from the Quick Links dropdown at the top of this page)

    best wishes, HJ.
