Striking "e" opens explorer

    Whenever I boot my Windows ME Compaq and try to type, strange things happen. For instance, striking "e" opens the Explorer. "M" causes the window to minimize.

    I've had this problem before on other computers, and normally, hitting CTRL+ALT+DLT causes things to get better. But it's not working now.

    Any ideas?

    Try cleaning your keyboard, the results you get from E & M are the same as standard keyboard shortcuts with the windows key, so it may be stuck.
