I have a user with their home directory to a \\server\share and it mounts to a drive letter, say z:/ when they log in. This is set via Active Directory and works great, no policies are needed.

I set a policy to redirect to my documents, and it does work but it always syncronizes and uses offline files. I tried other policies to deactivate offline/syncronize files and even shut off slow link detection but I cant stop it. since multiple users use the machine, one logs in then off it syncronizes ALL folders from previous users and then it times out because permissions are denied (each home folder is only for that user and admins)

I just want my documents to home folder, no offine files or syncronizing ****. I want it to be used real-time, no cacheing of files. can anyone help please, i have been going nuts setting policies for about a week straight now (20 hours+ into this) thx

    Roaming profiles

I would just set up a roaming profile for the user, this by default syncronized the MyDoc folder every time the user logs on, it also leaves the last copy (when you logged of last) on the server so you can back it up and night.
