I just switched from W98 to XP and discovered my ISA LPT2 interface card isn't supported so I purchased a PCI PnP card. It installed fine and all the new drivers loaded OK. It is shown in the Hardware MGR with no problems reported, however, it doesn't communicate to my Epson ES-800C scanner. (Yes I know its an old unit but the images it makes are excellant) Epson's only requirement is for a Bi-Directional parallel port. I have the Epson Twain driver installed as well. Any thoughts???
PS, I've tried Simple, Standard, ECP,EPP settings from my BIOS on the MB with no effect.

Thanks for taking the time to research it yourself. I've done some more reading and it would seem that XP doesn't support any parallel port Twain. So, I'll be shopping for a newer USB scanner to replace it with. Anyone need a really nice scanner compatible with W98 and older?
