    Hi
I had EasyCleaner on my windows 98 computer.
Does anyone know of any problems with EasyCleaner running on windows XP home with Service Pack 2?
I think I would like to have this on My new PC.
    Thanks
    Geri

It still works in XP. I prefer RegCleaner but that's just me I suppose.

In addition to EasyCleaner, look for
jv16 Power Tools v1.2 by Jouni Vuorio on the web.
It is still available at some sites.
This was the last free version - v1.3 needs a license.
jv16 is more powerfull than EasyCleaner. I use both and each finds
some problems that the other one did not find.

EasyCleaner 2.0 works fine. Just download the latest version (2.0.6.373) from my sig. RegSeeker (also in my sig) is a great compliment to EC.

Always backup your important stuff incase you clean yourself right out of a good running computer!

I use Regseeker and haven't had a problem yet..

Don't you just HATE IT when that happens! ;)

I wish Hoverdesk would move RegSeeker out of Beta. It's got to be nearly a record for a programme version left in beta? Still, it sure is a mature beta release though.

If you use V 1.2, then in the Unnecessary Files clean up, you better put HELP in the SKIP box or your Help and Support files will become disabled.

    http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/fix_windows_xp_help.htm

The above link patch it if you blow it.

But just download V 2 and all is good. I've been using it w/o incident since SP2 was beta. Get the V2 from a third party. Toni Arts still gives away the program, but charges to enter their site. The program is available free from third parties.
