I have XP Pro, and I just made my self a 2nd account (limited) for gaming, so I wont have so much startup junk. This account is set to limited so I want be tempted to install stuff under it n bog down this one too... :) Anyway, I created my account, logged off my main (Matt), logged onto Matt(GAMES), made some changes and then found out that none of my programs would run. So, I rebooted and then went to log into Matt and it says I am locked out, and I need to contact my Administrator. guess what..I AM MY Administrator! So, how can I get back? I can use the Administrator account, and I also have an Admin-privelege account that I can can use if i HAVE to. (its my moms). More importantly than figuring out how to get in, is finding out WHY it did this... I just want to know!

Matt(GAMES) - the ( ) in the account name are not a good thing. Best with alpha-numeric characters only or if you want, - and _ are also OK. I avoid spaces as well but that may just be a hold-over from earlier OS versions. So maybe Matt-games or Matt_Games.

Log on as administrator, right-click on My Computer, left-click on Manage, go into your Users section, open the Matt account, and unlock it.

Having " MATT " in both accounts is a bad mistake to begin with.

I made roughly the same mistake on my Local Area Network. I named one PC Bob and the other Bob1. NO GOOD

Left Bob alone and re-named Bob1 to Nancy ( after one hell of a lot of regediting work ) and all has been well since.
