    More info needed.

Need to know if your PC has a real "recovery CD" or uses a Windows CD to install. A real recovery CD will be a drive image and you wouldnt have needed to format and would usually boot from such CDs.

If you are using Windows 2000 Cd or up you also boot from the CD. So what version of Windows is it?

If you are booted to a floppy and want to run Windows setup, you simply type the CDs drive letter (which it would have told you during boot to floppy) and type "setup" (without the " ").

You may need help booting form the CD, but i wont write it till im sure so please provide more info about the OS you are trying to install as requested earlier in my post.

Just realised you were the one who sent me a private message about this but your problem is slightly different. Well if this or my reply to that message doesnt work, repost. Also good idea not to ask privately how to do things, it is more useful if you post into a forum as you will get more replies and others who may encounter your problem may find the replies useful. You could send me a private message asking me to look in a certain forum for your post, thats ok. Thanks

    Hi Dez Bradley,

This post has been continued in the following post:
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=37729

Just in case you missed the progress. Administration is going to have to sort this out and combine the two somehow, I imagine they'll be along when they find the time for such. :)
