How do I reinstall XP-PRO or can I install Win 98 after removing XP? Will I lose all my drivers?

Not sure what you want to do. You will lose any non-Microsoft drivers if you wipe the drive clean. XP drivers won't work at all in 98 and 98 drivers won't work in XP.

You can use this program to back up all your current drivers so you have them later:

    Re-installing XP

You can re-install XP Pro by simply booting with your XP CD and choosing the Repair Option when offered the SECOND time.

You will you not lose your drivers and software installed including all the links if the Repair is successful. All the Windows updates would have to be re-installed however.

Often, the Repair does not work when only a full install of Windows XP would be necessary.

In this scenario, you will lose everything on your C:\ drive and have to re-install software and hardware drivers.

I believe it also makes a diffeence whether you just have XP Pro or XP pro with SP2 added.

I was told that if SP2 has been installed that the repair must be done from the SP2 CD. Actually it does make sense. As SP2 is newer.
