I am running win 95 32 meg mem. I was running two 2 gig. hard drives on the machine.
Removed one left the other as single drive.Formatted the one I removed and used my system restore disk to make it like the other one was when I purchased the Computer. Machine boots up with either one and all programs work fine except browser .When I unpulg the first drive and plug the other one up. I can log on to the internet with my dialup connecting , but no browser will work explore or netscape. I just keep getting and error message (unable to locate the server). I am running the same software on both drives,so why will one work while the other won't? The first hard drive works fine with either browser. Is this a Win 95 problem or have I got something set up wrong?
    Thanks,
    Mold

I would uninstall dial up networking, reboot and install it again.

    Upgraded

I upgraded my winsock and it started working ,but only after I log on to netscape.com. I don't understand why I have to go there before I can link to any other site.

I suggest you compare the settings in the dial-up connectoid for each disk. My first port of call would be the TCP/IP settings, especially those relating to DNS.

That's the default homepage. You can change that by going to the site you want and clicking Tools > Internet Options > "Use Current" button > OK.
