Is XP interchangably called NT or W2K? Some files 'properties' identify as either/or. Thanks

No. Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP are all seperate and different operating systems. Though beings all of these are manufactured by Microsoft some of the operating files are most likely the same.

    HTH. :)
