hi,

we are working on a new version of opera called 6.01.

to ensure that the bug fixes actually fix the bugs they intend to, and
that they don't have any side effects, we wish to involve opera.beta in testing the version before release.

FIXES: please use opera.beta to comment on whether the bugs listed in he changelog below have been fixed or not.

OLD BUGS: if you find a bug that is both in opera 6 final and 6.01, file it as an ordinary opera 6 final (build 1010) bug report.

NEW BUGS: if you find a bug that is NEW in 6.01, ie. it is NOT in opera 6 final release, please file a bug report and set the build number to 1022 (important!)

When Released ?

When do you plan on releasing the newer version ?

I haven't a clue as to when the final Release of 6.01 will be. The Beta is available at the above link. Mind, I was merely quoting a post from the Opera Newsgroup, to update other Opera users. I also know that DoctorDoom is an Opera follower.

Opera 6.1

Sorry that that, I though you worked for opera.

 

I'm using Opera 5.12 at the moment only because of 6.0's different handling of the image refresh on certain webcam sites (primarily CamVista). It's the only reason I'm not using 6.0.

I may DL the beta and try it out. At worst, it won't be any different.
