Curious. Slow when. Loading, and there is the Quick Launch solution, or rendering pages? I used a 350Mhz, about 6 yrs. old now till last April, and I never considered it slow. But I have Cable. Some antivirus programs can slow down anything, but I never saw appreciable difference between NS7.x and IE6.
NS6.0 was something else. I tried it with a pretty fast connection at work, using a 167 or so Mhz, and it took me 25 min to load, and each page took well over one minute (I had a lot of other things to do. This was a pastimes to laugh at.

    Hey Dreambird!

What a treat to see your name pop up! Hey I know it is slow on these older PC's. I run Mozilla on my old 166 processor, 64 MB RAM, and it takes a long time to load. Try Firefox, as it runs a bit faster. Plus, it is really a nice browser!

No excuse for being a stranger now... Come back often!

I use a Dell Latitude CPiD300XT laptop and Netscape and Mozilla load faster than IE. I like the Mozilla suite better than Firefox & Thunderbird myself and hope Mozilla does not quit working on it as it seems all the energy is going into Firefox but if you want an email and browser I prefer Mozilla 1.73 [hopefully a newer version soon]

Thanks guys, IE is not even a option for me...
I'm known for my general dislike of it, besides which my other machine is a Mac Powerbook and MS doesn't even develop IE for Mac anymore. I'm used to Netscape and Opera...

It's a bit on the slow side loading on this machine, but not unbearable...
once it's up and running it's pretty decent. I'm on cable too, which helps!

Might have to give Firefox a try, I've heard it's good... so many of these newer browsers aren't available to me on my Mac because I still run OS9.1... most things these days are developed only for the newer OS X...
