installing problems

    hi can anyone please help everytime i go to the microsoft security page and try to download my puter freezes up and says that activex is not safe be grateful for any ideas ta very much from a cold snowy an windy scotland :)

    Hi boofuls and welcome to the forum.

    The exact, complete error message would help.

    Click on start => run type eventvwr.msc into the block and click OK then when the event viewer opens, check your applications and system logs for an error or warning related to the failure. There should be at least one there for each failure.

    If you find one or more that look related, open one and click on the icon below the up/down arrows to send a text copy to your clipboard and then post it here. Do this for any different ones that you think might be caused by the failure.
