I have a Linksys USB Instant Disk model number USBM64M, and it will not work anymore. It worked fine, and I put it in the top drawer of my dresser for a few weeks and now it doesnt work. No moisture or liquids, nothing heavy that could break it. Just deoderant and a fwe other little things like my wallet and stuff. XP recognizes it, adds it to My Computer, but then when I try to transfer files to it, it says I need to insert a disk into "Drive E:" (The USB Disk). Device Manager says its a Linksys Instant Disk USB Storage Device. I tried formatting it, but it wouldnt let me.
Please help. I really would like to be able use this for school...

Try removing the drivers, then reinstall them after rebooting.

Check if there are any upgraded drivers for your USB controller at the motherboard's website (or reinstall the current ones).

Have you made any changes like installing SP2 since the drive was last used?
