Do a search for "Outlook.pst ". It's a database file containing everything, including the contacts.

Burn to CD and substitute for the one on the other computer. As a safety precaution, I recommend renaming the original "Outlook.old" in case the replacement isn't accepted.

I have no CD burner. Can I export personal folders to some directory, then transfer it into new pc, then import this file? What settings should be selected in Export Wizard to get copy of all Outlook content?

Did you find the outlook.pst file?

Depending on how large it is you may be able to zip the file with WinZip or something similar and it Might end up small enough to put on a floppy disk. If not you can span the file across as many floppy disks as it needs with WinZip.

The only thing I have done with Microsoft Outlook, is to transfer Outlook.pst from a friends old to his new computer. I copied it to CD but I don't remember how large it was.

Since I don't use Microsoft Outlook, I regrettably know nothing about the export/import function or if it is possible to compact the file like in Outlook Express.

My unused Outlook.pst is 48 kB.

I just did a quick check on one of my pst files (I have a couple of them set up), it contains 3,100 emails and is 85.5 meg. I was able to compress it with WinZip down to 54 meg, not a lot but something. Granted it would take a lot of floppy disks but it can be done.

Can you network the 2 computers together long enough to copy the file from the old computer to the new?
